On September 3, 2018, the 20th International Conference on STD-AIDS AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES is held in Thailand. Internationally renowned AIDS experts, winners of the World AIDS Prevention Technology Invention Award, and International patent holders of PMAS technology, Professor Zhang Rongxuan is invited to attend. The members of the organizing committee of the conference highly praise the research results of Professor Zhang Rongxuan and his team on the prevention and treatment of AIDS in the aloe extract PMAS. 　　The International Conference on STD-AIDS AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES is jointly organized by the Cancer Immunology and Therapeutics Report, The Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, The Journal of Bacteriology and Infectious Diseases. The organizers of this seminar are respectively from Indiana University, Oxford University, and Stella, France. University of Fort, University of California, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, University of Oxford, University of Texas, Fudan University, and other well-known institutions and experts. The chairman of the conference, Rex Stockton, is the dean of the School of Research and Developmentof Indiana University. His main research topic is HIV/AIDS infection and mother-to-child transmission.

Professor Zhang Rongxuan is giving a keynote

　　It is understood that the theme of Professor Zhang Rongxuan's speech is the study on the role of PMAS in prevention and treatment of AIDS.

　　In his speech, he introduced the history of AIDS treatment of acemannan components in aloe. As early as 1981, acemannan was found in the polysaccharides of aloe by American pharmacology doctor Bill and firstly applied to the AIDS treatment at Parkland hospital, USA. In 1996 American FDA officially approved application of acemannan on human AIDS treatment. In 2012, American Alternative Medicine announced: according to the two-year tracing medical experiment of AIDS treatment of aloe juice in Kenya, Africa, excellent treatment effect was achieved in all treated AIDS patients.

　　Professor Zhang Rongxuan said: “acemannan, contained in polysaccharide tissue of aloe, is of more active characteristic than other molecular segments in the core of aloe polysaccharide. It has high medicinal value to human body. And we extract it through our patent extraction technology (1.5/10000 extraction ratio) , and name it PMAS. PMAS is mainly used to repair and rebuild immune system, which is evident in rapid proliferation of human T cells and B cells. According to our observations in animal experiments and clinical trial data of human body, after a large number of continuous use of PMAS, the body temperature of AIDS patients turn to normal condition in 2 to 3 days. There are significant changes in CD4,CD3 and CD8 of the mainstream data of AIDS, especially the rapid decrease of viral load. The fastest example is: the viral load of our patient reaches almost zero in one month.”

　　At present, in the field of AIDS treatment, the polysaccharides or other drugs that we usually use to strengthen the immune system in human body, take effect in 10 days to 15 days. In this efficacy regard, PMAS is three to five times greater than these currently used drugs. Thus, the discovery of PMAS has significant meaning in medicine.

　　In 2015, we signed the joint research topic of AIDS treatment of Aloe with the National Institute of Health, Tanzania. Our product is applied to the AIDS treatment as auxiliary drug, achieving excellent effect in clinical trials. It is registered and approved by TFDA of Tanzania. Therefore, PMAS could be sold as auxiliary drug in Tanzania and other six countries hospital and drug stores in east Africa. And in 2017, our company donated 5.3 million dollars PMAS products to the National Institute of Health of Tanzania for AIDS treatment.

　　PMAS is natural aloe plants extract without any chemical ingredients, so the cost of it is much less than other chemical drugs. Aloe is suitable for planting in Africa and the tropical zone. Thus, it only needs to expand the aloe planting area and increase the extraction amount of aloe deep processing for promotion. Therefore, it has positive practical significance in the long-term AIDS prevention and treatment.

　　Since the first case of HIV infection was discovered in 1984, AIDS has been spreading in Thailand for 34 years. And then Thailand becomes one of the countries with the most AIDS patients in Southeast Asia. According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health of Thailand, the number of newly added HIV carriers in Thailand in 2016 is 6,200, which means an average increase of 17 people per day. Nearly 15,000 AIDS patients died in 2016, with an average of 43 deaths per day. In 2017, more than 5,000 AIDS patients are added to Thailand, an average increase of 16 people per day. Up to now, 70% of people living with HIV in Thailand are receiving medication. In response, the Ministry of Health of Thailand has set a new goal: in 2030, HIV infection in Thailand will drop to 1,000 per year (new) and the death rate of AIDS patients will drop to around 4,000.
